Lake Saint Anne (Lacul Sfânta Ana)

Saint Ana Lake is the only volcanic lake in Romania, located in Harghita County, on the bottom of an extinct volcano crater in the Ciomatu Massif. This natural jewel is distinguished by the extreme purity of the water, fed exclusively by precipitation, and by its almost circular shape surrounded by dense coniferous forests. Being a protected reserve, the place offers a landscape of deep tranquility, ideal for relaxation and hiking in nature.
