Terms and Conditions

1. General

By accessing and using the Locarium.ro platform, you agree to these terms and conditions. The platform allows users to discover and add places from Romania and other countries, upload photos and contribute to the community.

The site is currently in a testing phase, and features and content may change. We do not offer guarantees regarding the continuous availability of the service.

2. User account

To contribute places or photos, you need to create an account. You are responsible for the information you provide and for the activity carried out from your account. Your account may be suspended in case of violating these terms.

3. User-uploaded content

You are solely responsible for the content you upload to Locarium.ro, including places, descriptions and photos. You guarantee that:

  • •you have the right to publish the content and that it does not infringe copyright or other third-party rights;
  • •the content is accurate and does not contain false or misleading information;
  • •the content is not illegal, offensive or violating other people's privacy.

4. Photos and the license granted to Locarium.ro

When uploading a photo, you declare that you are its author or that you hold all the rights and permissions necessary to publish it on Locarium.ro. You remain the owner of the copyright of your photos, and by uploading you grant Locarium.ro a non-exclusive, free license to display, store, technically reproduce and promote the photo in connection with the platform. The license allows Locarium to:

  • •display the photo on the site, on the place page and in galleries;
  • •use the photo to promote the Locarium.ro platform;
  • •display the photo on category pages and search results;
  • •use the photo in social media posts and promotional materials that promote the place or the site.

The license applies for the entire period the photo is available on the platform. You can request the deletion of a photo at any time, and Locarium will review the request and remove it within a reasonable period, unless there is a legal or contractual basis for keeping it.

5. Deleting the account

When you delete your account, the personal data associated with it (name, email, username, profile picture) is deleted or anonymized. Content published on Locarium.ro — including places, reviews, comments and photos — may remain public on the platform in a form not linked to your identity, with the author shown as "Deleted user", under the license granted when publishing.

Deleting your account does not automatically remove previously published content, and your profile becomes inaccessible to the public.

6. Copyright

Content published by users remains the property of its authors. Locarium.ro does not claim copyright over your photos and texts, but only the display and promotion license described above.

7. User conduct

It is not permitted to use the platform to upload illegal content, for spam, to harass other users or to attempt unauthorized data collection. Locarium.ro reserves the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these terms.

8. Limitation of liability

Locarium.ro provides the platform "as is", without explicit or implied warranties. Information about places is provided by the community and may be incomplete or inaccurate. We are not responsible for damages resulting from the use of the site or from relying on published content.
